The contract is valued at $33 million and work on the pipeline is planned to
start before the end of the calendar year. The eight-inch (219mm) pipeline will
transport oil from the Jackson plant to the Moomba plant.
The awarding of the contract comes after a year in which Walter’s Diversified Construction Corporation division continued to consolidate its oil and gas pipeline services in the Cooper, Surat and Bowen Basins.
DCC recorded revenue of $118 million for the 2006/2007 year.
