First oil from the development was due to begin flowing at the end of June, but operator Santos announced it would be delayed due to problems procuring equipment.

Cue told the market this morning the Seagood 101 production barge would arrive at the field either on the weekend or early next week.

Anchors have already been placed, and once on location, commissioning will start ahead of first oil production in September, Cue said.

The Oyong field was discovered in 2001 following the drilling of the Oyong-1 exploration well.

Stakeholders in the Sampang PSC are Santos (operator with 45%), Singapore Petroleum (40%) and Cue (15%).
