Stuart today said production from the field had jumped from a pre-fracture production rate of about 30 barrels of oil per day (bopd) to an initial post-fracture rate of more than 1000bopd.
Production is expected to stabilise around 500bopd.
Managing director Tino Guglielmo said this would boost Stuart’s production from the basin, taking daily output to more than 2000bopd.
“The Stuart-operated program has been highly successful and, in addition to the oil production, an increase in oil reserves is anticipated once production data and subsequent production performance is fully analysed,” Guglielmo said.
“The two Padulla wells are already on production.
“Over the coming weeks, pumps will be installed on the two wells to further enhance production rates.”
Guglielmo said given the success at Padulla, future wells with Murta Formation pay would be fracced.
The Padulla fracture stimulations are part of a $1 million four-well program, which commenced on August 25. The two wells are in the western part of PEL 113.
Guglielmo also said the two recent discoveries at Rimfire 1 and Revenue 1 had advanced well and both had been fracced.
Rimfire 1 will be connected to the Harpoono facility via flowline, with production expected to commence later this month.
Production at Revenue 1, due to begin in October, will also be connected to the Harpoono facilities and with Rimfire 1, will be placed on pump to further enhance production rates.
