Drilling starts at SE Gobe-13

Cue Energy Resources said as of Tuesday, drilling had reached a depth of 180m. It is expected to take up to 35 days to reach the desired depth of 2200m.

SE Gobe-13 is in the south-east extension of the SE Gobe oil field.

Participants in the SE Gobe unit include operator Oil Search (25.55%), AGL (27.35%), Southern Highlands Petroleum (23.69%), Santos (9.39%), Ampolex (5.95%), Cue (3.29%), Merlin Petroleum (2.78%) and Petroleum Resources Gobe (2%).

Production from the SE Gobe-12 development began last month. The well is expected to produce at an initial rate of up to 2000 barrels of oil per day.
