APPRAISAL drilling at the Jingemia9 well in the Perth Basin (production licence L2) has failed to...

Drilled to determine the structural configuration of the northern part of the Jingemia field, Jingemia-9 well encountered the Dongara sandstone reservoir as planned. But despite being of good quality, the contained oil was found to be water-bearing.

The well has been drilled to total depth of 2814m and wireline logging began this morning.

Participants in Jingemia 9 and L1 and L2 production licences (excluding the Dongara, Mondarra and Yardarino fields) are Arc Energy 50% (operator) and Origin Energy Developments 50%, a wholly owned subsidiary of Origin Energy.
