Stuart takes time out for fishing at Acrasia-4

FISHING operations are underway to recover drill pipe at the Acrasia-4 well in PEL 90/PPL 203, Cooper Basin, South Australia. Once this has been done a drill stem test on the primary evaluation target will be undertaken, reports operator Stuart Petroleum.

“A good oil show was recorded from the Lower Hutton sand which will be tested over the interval 2053m to 2060m,” said managing director Tino Guglielmo.

“Stuart expects that the test will commence Thursday morning.”

But there were indications that hole instability could affect the DST.

“If the test is not successfully completed due to hole conditions further evaluation will be undertaken after logging and casing of the hole,” Stuart said.

As of 6am South Australian time this morning, Acrasia-4 was at 2080 metres, drilling ahead to a planned total depth of 2350 meters.

Participants in Acrasia-4 are Stuart Petroleum (operator) 75% and Beach Petroleum (via Mawson Petroleum Pty Ltd) 25%.
