The Ocean Patriot drilling rig is to drill Basker-2 immediately after the Casino program in July, according to Anzon. The remainder of the development drilling will start after a Production Licence has been obtained in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Crystal Ocean FPSO has been secured with a three-year contract with options for further four years. Crystal Ocean will arrive in Melbourne in August. It will move to the Basker location in Bass Strait upon completion of the Basker-2 well and when approval for an extended production test is secured.
The Nordic Trym shuttle tanker has been contracted for three years contract with options to extend. This Aframax-sized tanker, owned and operated by Teekay Shipping, has dynamic positioning capability and a capacity of about 650,000 bbls. It is due in Bass Strait in September for the extended production test of Basker-2.
