The Woodside ISC involves supply of project management, integrated engineering, operational maintenance, modification and supply chain integration services to Woodside.
Subject to the agreement, the Clough AMEC JV will perform a three year contract starting on 1 January 2006.
Initially the ISC will include Woodside’s oil assets located in the Wanaea Cossack Lambert Hermes (Cossack Pioneer FPSO), Enfield, Legendre and Laminaria-Corallina (Northern Endeavour FPSO) fields.
The Clough AMEC joint venture will now enter into the second stage of the procurement process with Woodside in order to complete an agreement by September, Clough spokesman Robert Ash told EnergyReview.net.
“This is a very significant contract for Clough,” Ash said.
“It is relatively low risk and is very prestigious as Woodside is a well respected major Australian company.”
Clough CEO David Singleton said the joint venture was committed to bringing together the capabilities of both companies for the benefit of the client.
"This success is entirely in line with the strategic goals that we set ourselves a year ago and is a great tribute to the efforts of our JV team," he said.
“Together, the joint venture forms a strong team with complementary capabilities.”
AMEC Oil & Gas Managing Director Neil Bruce said this recognition by Woodside re-enforced AMEC’s strategic position. It also showed there was a pattern of change in the Western Australian oil and gas market place, creating significant opportunities for companies with the right relationships.
Clough AMEC is a 50/50 joint venture between Clough Limited of Australia and AMEC Plc of the UK. AMEC is one of the world’s largest operations and maintenance contractors in the oil and gas sector.
Award of this contract follows on from the current services contract the Clough AMEC joint venture is performing for ConocoPhillips on the Bayu Undan platforms.
