"The alliance enables us to deploy the comprehensive suite of SIS software and share production data worldwide while providing access to a broader range of software and services at the local level, " said Hugh Banister, global information systems manager for Premier.
"With consistent data management and global data sharing we are better able to integrate our workflow. One of the benefits we will achieve is a significant cost savings compared with conventional software licensing."
The software portfolio includes a significant portion of the GeoFrame integrated reservoir characterisation system-seismic, mapping and geology modules - as well as the Merak value and risk software suite. In addition, SIS will provide worldwide technical support, on-site training and ongoing business support.
"We appreciate the opportunity to expand our relationship with Premier, an organisation with broad international experience that is known for its adaptability," said SIS president Ihab Toma. "The agreement allows each location to leverage the SIS software suite and services and use what they need-offering flexibility, consistency, and customisability. These are functions that are becoming increasingly important to our customers."
