2H had already conducted engineering studies for Statoil to support wellhead specification on the Johan Sverdrup development.
The field, which extends over 200sq.km on the Utsira High in a water depth of 110-120m, is one of the largest oilfields on the Norwegian continental shelf, and is expected to come on stream in late 2019.
Phase 1 of the development consists of four bridge-linked platforms, as well as three subsea water injection templates.
2H director Alex Rimmer said the award enhanced the company's "extensive" experience in Norway, cementing its position as the leading contractor specialising in the design and analysis of riser and conductor systems for the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
"We look forward to successfully delivering this study and further growing our reputation within Norway," Rimmer said.
