Expro has secured a seven-year multi-million dollar major subsea contract with BP for the Quad 204 project west of the Shetland Isles in the UK North Sea.
Expro's latest design of ELSA-DB (dual bore) subsea test tree systems will be interfaced with BP's subsea production system's contractor, completion provider and deep water drilling rig.
The ELSA-DB is a unique landing string system that is used in conjunction with vertical production tree systems that enables well clean-up/completion deployment from a MODU (mobile operated drilling unit) prior to the installation of the vertical production tree.
Expro's region director for Europe Keith Palmer said this new contracts strengthened a relationship with BP's operations in the North Sea since the late 1990s, and would increase the company's local workforce.
Expro provides services and products that measure, improve, control and process flow from high-value oil and gas wells, from exploration and appraisal through to mature field production optimisation and enhancement.
