Enermech expanding Down Under

INTERNATIONAL oil and gas services group EnerMech is looking to add 150 staff to its Australian o...

It expects the expansion from 350 to 500 staff will take place over the next 24 months.

The company has facilities in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Darwin, Sale, Gladstone and Chinchilla.

EnerMech general manager for Australia Niall Conlon said the contracts the company had secured were "strategically important" ones with major energy companies.

The company has also hired Craig Wilson and Phil Ellwood to bolster its management.

Wilson, who has more than 20 years of experience within the oil and gas industry, has been appointed as senior business development manager.

Ellwood, who has more than 30 years of industry knowledge, joins as operations manager.

He will be responsible for the expansion and consolidation of EnerMech's on the ground operations at its eight Australian bases.

Enermech is a $500 million turnover business that employs 2000 staff in 31 locations around the globe.

Its seven business lines include cranes and lifting, valves, hydraulic products and services, industrial services, process, pipeline and umbilicals, equipment rental, and training services.
