The company said the survey was completed on time and on budget, and the 3D data is being processed.
Elixir expects the final processed data set will be available before the end of year.
The data set is then expected to be interpreted by Elixir in the first quarter of 2009.
Managing director Andrew Ross said the newly acquired 3D data would allow the company to better refine the play types and large targets previously identified from 2D seismic data acquired over the block.
Elixir Petroleum has a 15% working interest and a 20% optional interest in the block SL-4.
