Red Fork said the oil encountered in the Red Fork sand primary objective confirms the geological concept it was pursuing in its 100%-owned West Tulsa project.
The company is now preparing Fuss 1-34 for a production test after drilling to total depth of 3434ft and running casing.
If the production test is successful, Red Fork said it would represent a significant discovery and open a further six to eight drilling locations in its West Tulsa acreage.
Initial production results are expected in the next 30 days.
Following the completion of Fuss 1-34, Red Fork will drill the second well in its two-well exploration program in the next seven days.
Meanwhile at the company's Osage project, Red Fork has spudded the Redfork 1-18 well on May 6.
Redfork 1-18 will be drilled to a total depth of about 2300 feet and will test all productive horizons, including all of the know coals on the leasehold as well as the Tyner and Wilcox sand formations, Red Fork said.
The well is a step out well from its successful Redfork 1-17 well.
Following RedFork 1-18, Red Fork plans to complete another step out well Redfork 1-20.
