The 300m-long jetty is to be built in an equal joint venture with Dutch company Interbeton and is expected to be completed by the end of 2009, according to Clough.
The two contractors have previously teamed up to build a jetty for the Woodside-operated North-West Shelf Venture Phase 5 expansion located on the Burrup Peninsula near the Pluto plant site.
The LNG jetty berth will include a 38m by 50m platform, four breasting dolphins, six mooring dolphins and navigational aids.
Construction will use the recently upgraded jack-up barge 1B909, which has enhanced lifting capacity.
The Pluto LNG project's preliminary works started last November and the construction team has already mobilised to site with completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2009.
Clough is also bidding for a $250 million contract for offshore facilities at Apache Energy's Reindeer field.
