Aveva event to bring together plant owner-operators

Participants for the Aveva Owner Operator Forum 2007 will have the chance to hear presentations from Aveva clients such as Woodside, Chevron and Alcan.

“Representatives from these companies will acknowledge and discuss some of the challenges that they have met as owner operators, and the highly innovative and successful solutions that have been implemented in order to overcome them,” Aveva said.

“They will also learn the ways others are harnessing the powers of their digital plant, from front-end engineering design right through to decommissioning, and every phase in between, through using radio frequency identifier tags, laser scanning, photogrammetry and integration with live operational data, as well as using the internet as an engineering collaboration tool.”

Aveva software supports process industries with comprehensive solutions for the design, construction and lifetime support of all types of process plant.

Used in many of the world’s most complex plant projects, Aveva’s solutions are designed to let users create, control and exploit engineering data to reduce costs, accelerate timescales and maximise performance.

“Built around high-integrity, datacentric technology, Aveva’s product range allows rapid, error-free design, powerful project and material control, and highly efficient manufacture in a truly global, multi-site environment,” the company said.

Aveva also offers support for plant maintenance, life extension and upgrade, right through to safe decommissioning.

The forum will be held at Holiday Inn City Centre, Perth, Western Australia from July 26-27. More information can be obtained from www.aveva.com or email: scott.robertson@aveva.com
