The second planned lateral intersection of the reservoir is now being drilled. The planned operations are to finish drilling the second lateral and then complete the well as a gas producer.
Testing is expected to start on or about New Year’s Day. Subject to successful test results, the well will be tied back into the Dongara Production Facility, Arc exploration manager Andy Padman said.
“This is an excellent technical result for the Arc sub-surface team, and also provides us with additional flexibility in meeting our gas supply obligations at a time of increasing gas demand,” he said.
Arc has 100% equity in Dongara 36.
