Invensys keeps ExxonMobil flowing

INVENSYS Process Systems has signed a perpetual license agreement to provide its industry leading...

"We are pleased ExxonMobil has extended its relationship with Invensys as a provider of steady-state and dynamic process simulation, including heat exchange and pipeline simulation software within the SIM4ME common modelling environment," vice president of Invensys's SimSci-Esscor unit Alastair Fraser said.

The agreement shows potential for several benefits for both organisations with Invensys listed as the preferred operator training simulator provider for ExxonMobil.

An extension has also taken place of Invensys long-term license with ExxonMobil to provide its SimSci-Esscor simulation, heat transfer and flow network-modelling software.

"We are also very pleased that ExxonMobil has standardised on SimSci-Esscor solutions for Process Design, Operator Training Simulators and Real-Time Optimisation," Fraser said.

"This will allow ExxonMobil to reap the benefits with a consistent modelling framework in the design, operate and optimise phase of a plant's lifecycle. We have worked closely with ExxonMobil for many years as a technology partner, providing increased value to its worldwide affiliates".

In addition, the agreement provides the use of DYNSIM for dynamic engineering studies, the use of TRISM PLUS for control system checkout of TRICONEX control logic and the use of DYNSIM software and project implementation services for the development of operator training simulators.
