First drilled in 2003, SL-2ST (FAR’s interest 12.625%) has been perforated in the 9500 Lower C Sand between 2894m and 2896m after which the zone was tested at a rate of around 500 barrels of oil per day.

The well has been choked back to a 5/64 inch choke on a flowing tubing pressure of 1590psi and will be produced at about 200 barrels of oil per day.

The SL-28 well (FAR 1.37 %) has been perforated at between 2123m and 2126m. It tested dry gas and minor water at the rate of 800,000 cubic feet per day on a 6/64 inch choke at 2350psi.

Meanwhile, data from the company’s successful 2004 drilling campaign at SL-328#1 (FAR 4.09%) has been integrated into a reprocessed 3D database and has shown signs of hydrocarbons potential in two up-dip fault blocks.

But the tight rig market means an exploration well to test the new prospects is not likely to be drilled before the end of the year.

SL-328 #1 is the fifth well in which FAR has participated at Lake Long.

All of them have resulted in commercial production.
