J. Ray McDermott president Bob Deason received the award in Houston.
“Nothing that I have done since joining this company has made me prouder,” he said. “This is truly an outstanding achievement.”
The award focuses on the safety management, implementation and performance of ExxonMobil’s contractors, worldwide and the Jebel Ali facility met all the criteria of the exhaustive evaluation.
In terms of project safety statistics, the end of April saw McDermott complete four years and 5.4 million man-hours on the RasGas Offshore Expansion Project without a Lost Time Incident (LTI); and one year LTI free, since the start of the Qatargas project.
