Consortium lands Dolphin contract, GPS wins ORC EPC

France’s Technip, based in Abu Dhabi, and Al Jaber Energy Services consortium will build the onshore receiving facilities at Taweelah in the UAE for Dolphin’s natural gas export pipeline from Qatar, according to Dolphin.

The facilities will initially comprise three parallel gas receiving trains and associated equipment, metering facilities, control buildings and warehouse, as well as additional interconnecting pipelines to Taweelah power stations and the Maqta-Jebel Ali pipeline.

Meanwhile, the Oman Refinery Co (ORC) has awarded Oman’s Gulf Petrochemical Services (GPS) a US$49 million contract to build the terminal facilities for the Mina Al-Fahal-Sohar pipeline project.

The engineering, procurement and construction contract involves developing a new terminal storage and pumping facility for ORC in the Mina Al-Fahal area, before the mixed feedback is pumped via the 266km pipeline to Sohar refinery.
