APPEA announces new chairman, council members

THE Council of The Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) has announced the election of Beach Petroleum’s managing director Reg Nelson as chairman for 2004-2005.

Colin Beckett, general manager venture gas for Chevron Texaco Australia Pty Ltd has been appointed APPEA vice chairman.

The other members of the APPEA Council for 2004-2005 are: Stephen Brand, president ConocoPhillips Australia Pty Ltd; Bob Coppin, chief executive officer, Cue Energy Resources Limited; Jim Durrant, executive director, Strike Oil NL; John Ellice-Flint, managing director, Santos Limited; Chris Gunner, chief operating officer, Shell Development (Australia) Pty Ltd; Nick Heath, gas & power marketing director, Esso Australia Pty Ltd; Peter Hood, chief executive officer, Coogee Resources Pty Ltd; Eve Howell, managing director, Apache Energy Limited; Ray James, managing director, Icon Energy Limited; Agu Kantsler, director new ventures, Woodside Energy Limited; Grant King, managing director, Origin Energy Limited; David Knox, managing director, BP Developments Australia Pty Ltd; Paul Underwood, managing director, Tap Oil Limited.
