The Otway gas plant is part of the Thylacine and Geographe gas fields that Woodside Energy is developing off Victoria. The project involves a remotely operated platform, onshore pipeline and a new gas processing plant about 12 km north of Port Campbell.

Technip Oceania Pty Limited was awarded EPIC contracts for the onshore gas processing plant, onshore pipeline and the unmanned offshore platform.

The earthwork for the gas plant started last month. It is planned to complete pre-commissioning activities by January 2006.
