Gas from the field in PL 201 is already contracted to CS Energy, which holds a 50% interest in the development, from 2005.
Final reserves figures for the field reached 389 Petajoules (PJ) of proved, probable and possible (3P) gas in the PL 201 / ATP 632P permit.
The certification brings QGC's total certified 3P reserves in the Surat Basin tenements to 559PJ, including the reserves certified at the nearby Argyle gas field (ATP 620P) in May 2004.
Berwyndale South is located only 13km from the Roma to Brisbane gas pipeline and 10km from QGC's Argyle pilot in the adjoining tenement of ATP 620P.
