“CFCL is on track. We are continuing to meet the key business targets for volume production of our fuel cells,” said executive chairman Julian Dinsdale.

Ceram Research, based in the UK, will contribute expertise in design and manufacturing processes, and advise on location and specifications for a European manufacturing plant. This international agreement also puts CFCL in an excellent position for the early introduction of domestic-scale energy generators, based on solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).

Additionally, CFCL can now gear up for production, focussing on meeting demand in the growing European and Asian clean energy markets.

The company is also designing fuel cell units that have application in products in homes and offices producing clean and efficient electricity for use on site or sale into the electricity grid.

CFCL is currently trialling skills and technology from companies in Japan and USA for potential incorporation into the plant.
