Victoria gives wind farm the nod

With 52 turbines producing up to 104 megawatts of electricity Victorian Premier Steve Bracks said the wind farm would produce enough clean energy to supply more than 60,000 homes.

"This is more than enough energy to power every home in the City of Casey, Victoria's fastest growing municipality," he said.

Bracks also called on the Federal Government to increase the Mandatory Renewable Energy Target (MRET) from two per cent to five per cent.
