Iran: US companies welcome to invest in the Islamic Republic

According to Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs, Hadi Nejad-Hosseinian, “There is no obstacle for American companies to work in Iran’s oil and gas industry. US companies, like Iranian ones, have sustained damage due to the mistakes made by the US government and also economic sanctions.”

Hadi’s statement comes on the back of what the head of the country’s National Iranian Oil Co exploration division divulged to the press at a commercial forum in the Netherlands.

According to Mohammad Mohaddes, “Several unnamed US firms have expressed interest in tenders for 16 recently discovered oil blocks.”
