In a statement Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Co said, “Installation of the offshore structure, which weighs 1,690 tons and is 74 metres high, will finish in two weeks at a depth of 67 metres in the Persian Gulf. The installation [will] be followed by drilling 10 wells.”
In related news Iran’s Petropars and Norway’s Statoil will be implementing offshore operations of stages six through eight of the South Pars project, which will see the drilling of 30 wells and the construction of three whole platforms.
