Hosted by New Zealand Crown Minerals, this biennial conference will showcase technical data related to exploration in New Zealand and give information and guidelines on doing business in New Zealand.
Delegates will include explorers, producers, gas users, lawyers, accountants, environmental scientists, local and national government representatives, service industries and commentators.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is August 1, 2005.
The 2006 New Zealand Petroleum Conference will offer new insights into New Zealand’s petroleum basins, including basin analogue studies, and source and reservoir rock studies.
It will also discuss advances in seismic acquisition and interpretation technologies , petroleum generation and engineering studies , and production engineering.
Gas streams will discuss exploration and and development of deep gas, gas hydrates, coalbed methane, LNG and CNG.
Environmental issues and developments, including carbon dioxide sequestration, will also be canvassed.
Other themes for the conference are: petroleum’s role in a changing, sustainable energy world; New Zealand as a unique exploration opportunity; the global and regional relevance of the New Zealand exploration scene; New Zealand’s exploration successes; and the latest exploration and production developments.
