GNS to hold introductory seismic processing course

The course will be tutored by GNS processing manager Guy Maslen and GNS’s GLOBE Claritas main software developer Jonathan Ravens and is ideal for geophysicists, geologists and explorationists wishing to learn how to process seismic data from field data right down to the final migrated image.

Attendees will be given a practical education in seismic processing through a series of lectures and practical exercises. Topics to be taught include deconvolution, marine processing, seismic velocity analysis, imaging and finalisation, and 3D & Land processing overviews.

Standard enrolment in the course is NZ$2,081.25 (inclusive GST) but early birds (before 29 October) get a discount and only need to pay NZ$1,856.25 (with GST). All academics and students have a discounted fee of NZ$1,856.25 (with GST).
