A month after officially launching its new Australian retail business, Red Energy, in Melbourne, Contact is moving into such southern Hawkes Bay towns as Dannevirke and Woodville.

Trading manager Steve Cross said Contact’s entry to Southern Hawkes Bay demonstrated the company’s commitment to enhancing competition in the retail electricity market.

Since April Contact had launched retail services in central Hawkes Bay, Marlborough, and Waipa and intended in the coming months to offer those services to King Country, Bay of Plenty, Wairoa, Buller and Westland.
