Eni's acquisition of Neptune gives new hope for NT

ITALY's Eni has formed a venture with Var Energi to acquire Neptune Energy, in a move that will replace gas from the beleaguered Blacktip field offshore Northern Australia and give it a swathe of new assets in the UK, Netherlands, Algeria and Egypt, and Indonesia.
