Flood of new exhibitors for AOG 2020 conference

Operator briefing sessions to be a big hit for contractors

Flood of new exhibitors for AOG 2020 conference

AOG said today the jump in exhibitors was due to new companies dedicated to sustainable energy resource development and renewables.

"To have 118 new exhibitors shows just how quickly the industry is developing in Australia," AOG event director Bill Hare said.

The AOG conference is one of the largest energy-specific events in Asia and will this year feature keynote speakers from a range of industry areas.

This year's theme is ‘ForWArd Together - Driving Opportunity, Generating Confidence.'

Four major companies, Woodside Petroleum, Chevron, Shell, and Santos will present strategic Forward Work Plans to support the theme.

Woodside executive vice president of development Meg O'Neill and Chevron Australia director of operations Kory Judd are both scheduled to speak at the event following an opening address from the Western Australian Labor premier Mark McGowan.

Following the presentations, attendees will be given the opportunity to directly engage with the four major operators during exclusive briefing sessions.

The briefing sessions come as the WA state government charges ahead with its LNG Jobs Taskforce vision, aimed at creating thousands of jobs in the state oil and gas sector.

For the first time the conference will also feature a renewable energy zone, as Australia is set to emerge as one of the leading investment destinations for renewable energy for the Oil & Gas industry globally.
