As Duke Energy and Epic Energy prepare their various pipelines for sale and/or auction APT has been careful to pick its options with an eye on the best route to success without breaking the bank.
Rumour has it that APT has joined with ANZ Infrastructure Services in a bid for Duke Energy's eastern assets and GasNet Australasia for all of Epic's assets outside of the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP).
The troubled DBNGP, which is set to go for around $1.8 billion, has seen APT team up with Canada's Enbridge.
However, bidding for the assets is sure to be intense with a number of international ventures tipping their hands into the action and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission keeping a close eye on proceedings.
