OneSteel has won the contract to supply the majority of the line pipe for the 680 kilometre South East Australian gas pipeline.
The 360mm diameter underground pipeline will be built between Adelaide in South Australia and Port Campbell in Victoria by prime contractor Spie Capag - Lucas Joint Venture.
Deliveries of the pipe will commence in September and construction of the pipeline - which will be owned by Origin Energy and International Power - will begin in October.
