The $10 million project will begin in the new year, and involves 4.4km of 12 inch subsea pipeline, connecting the Linda field with the Sinbad pipeline for transmission to Varanus Island for holding and shipping.
Linda becomes the latest in a network of producing wells in the Carnarvon Basin which are linked together for the efficient production of oil in the region.
The Linda installation will be the 3rd such contract carried out by Mermaid in joint venture with Clough Offshore.
The contract comes on the back of a new nine well drilling program in the prospect which kicked off this week with the Ginger-1 exploration well. Located 8km east of Varanus Island the well is targeting an estimated 100 PJ of recoverable gas.
There are already eight oil fields in production for the JV including Tanami, Simpson, Gibson, South Plato, Victoria, Pedirka, Little Sandy and Double island.
The Harriet Joint Venture partners include Tap 12.2229%, Apache Energy (operator) 68.5% and Kufpec Australia 19.2771%.
