"We believe the bid for Arc Energy would be a very good acquisition for Tap Oil. It would be nice fit for Tap given their assets off the coast of Dampier," said Euroz Securities dealer, Mr Lucas Robinson.

"There is a strong possibility that there are others circling and a cash bid is not out of the question. There are several different suitors including Origin Energy who may want to increase their exposure in the Basin," he said.
