The LP compression package, featuring a Mycom 320 LUD Screw Compressor, will compress 4,452 Sm3/hr of natural gas from 30 kPag to 920 kPag. The process piping and oil separator will be constructed from duplex stainless steel. The plate heat exchangers for the oil cooling circuit are titanium, while the rest of the oil system is being constructed from 316 stainless steel.
The compressor skid will be isolated from any movement or stresses in the vessel structure by a three point mounting system.
Package assembly will be carried out in Refrigeration Engineering’s new 1,500m2 premises in Unanderra and delivery is scheduled for mid-December 2004.
Refrigeration Engineering’s Managing Director, Michael Briggs, said that the company is very pleased to be part of the Enfield Area Development Project. “It marks another milestone for the company in supplying specialised screw compressor packages for offshore applications”.
