The subcontract to design and fabricate specialist scour protection systems and grouting of the riser support structure and subsea production system was awarded to Neptune's subsea stabilisation division by McDermott.
McDermott is the main contractor for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines at Ichthys.
Neptune's in-house engineering in Perth have provided the engineering design for the scour protection systems, while fabrication will take place at its facilities in Asia.
Delivery of the systems is expected to begin this quarter, with a third party contracted to install them.
Grouting will be performed by Neptune once the scour systems are installed.
Earlier this year, Neptune was also contracted to deliver concrete mattresses to the project.
"It is pleasing to see some of our other businesses being awarded work on this prominent resource project," Neptune CEO Robin King said.
"Following the completion of multiple scopes of work for another key client by other Neptune divisions, our geomatics and ROV businesses also performed the pre-lay survey and array installation for McDermott in 2014."
