Chevron signs $90B LNG deal with Tepco

CHEVRON has signed Australia's single largest liquefied natural gas offtake agreement, agreeing to sell 4.1 million tonnes of LNG per year from its Wheatstone project to Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco).

Under the heads of agreement, which is for a 20-year term and believed to be worth about $A90 billion, Tepco is also planning to acquire a 15% stake in Chevron's Wheatstone field licences and an 11.25%...
