LNG (LIQUIFIED NATURAL GAS)

Plenty of competition for Pluto LNG

IN 2007: The year in LNG (January 2), PNN says that Pluto was one of only two global LNG projects...

And possibly:

• OK LNG in Nigeria (it is difficult to really pin this one down. They’ve laid a foundation stone, but actually declared FID? Difficult to get a definitive answer);

• Brass LNG in Nigeria. Again difficult to get a definitive answer;

• Sulawesi LNG/Mitsubishi – I think Mitsubishi, Pertamina & Medco would say FID has been taken, but I’m waiting for proof; and

• Sulawesi/Energy World – I think EWC would say FID has been taken, they’ve placed orders for equipment, large electric motors etc.

Even if we exclude the “possibles”, there are clearly more than two projects that have declared FID in the last 2 years.

Sincerely,

Michael Williams
