Gorgon's CO2 under Petroleum Club spotlight

In 2001, following the ChevronTexaco merger, John Torkington became the commercial team leader for the Barrow Island and Thevenard Island oil production joint ventures.

In January 2004, Torkington was appointed to the role of greenhouse gas opportunity manager for the Gorgon Development.

In this role, his primary responsibilities are ensuring that appropriate legislation and regulation is in place to enable CO2 injection, and overseeing the environmental assessment and government approval process as it relates to the CO2 injection component of the development.

Due to renovations, the Dinner Meeting will be held at the Duxton Hotel instead of the usual Parmelia Hilton venue.

Details are available from www.petroleumclub.org.au or petroleumclub@axismanagement.com.au or call 9226 4166

The greeting drinks are sponsored by IRC with the door prize being provided by Kent Moving and Storage.
