Technip’s engineering centre in Abu Dhabi will handle the engineering and share some of the procurement activities for the project. These activities include fabricating three unmanned offshore platforms, the refurbishment and tie-in work to the existing NFB platform, laying two new 34-inch and 38-inch platforms to shore pipelines and “several new power and/or communications umbilicals”.
