The plant will incorporate three generating units capable of 350 mW each. The generators will be fuelled by Australian LNG imported to the province’s LNG receiving terminal. The LNG is due to arrive in 2006, just as the first of the three generators comes online.
The other two generators are expected to be operational by 2007.
The plant has three co-investors: the China National Offshore Oil Corp, Guangdong Yuedian Group Corp, and the Guangdong Power Development Corp.
