Spot cargo sale boosts NWS coffers

The North West Shelf has pocketed some extra change after selling an LNG cargo on the spot market, according to an announcement from the partners today.

BP Gas Marketing will deliver a cargo shipped from Withnell Bay near Karratha to a receival terminal in Spain. The sale is for up to 135,000 m 3 of LNG.

The six equal partners are: Woodside Energy Ltd. (operator); BHP Billiton (North West Shelf) Pty Ltd; BP Developments Australia Pty Ltd; ChevronTexaco Australia Pty Ltd; Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Pty Ltd; and Shell Development (Australia) Proprietary Limited.
