"The signing of the joint venture agreement signals the start of the project feasibility stage," Gulf chairman Scott Reid said.

"The Vietnam CTL project management group is now in the final stages of appointing a world-class engineering firm to start the pre-feasibility study."

Gulf said the CTL fuel conversion plant, which will be located in northern Vietnam, will be developed in two stages.
