Spudded today, the well is targeting 65 billion cubic feet of gas and 2.5 million barrels of oil, at the P50 level of confidence.

Bowtie-1, which has a planned total depth of 13,000 feet, is evaluating three independent targets defined by new 3D seismic.

Drilling is expected to take about 30 days to reach the main objective in the Vicksburg sands.

Golden Gate has an 18% working interest in the project, while operator Texakoma holds the remainder.
