Gas seepage at NT prospects: Central

The frontier desert explorer today said the zones, showing both a concentration of potentially productive fracture patterns and ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection radiometer) anomalies, were mapped in the Ooraminna and Waterhouse prospects.

Central has begun a seismic acquisition program over the Ooraminna, Waterhouse and Mt Kitty prospects in the Amadeus Basin following line clearing, which started over the Mt Kitty Prospect recently.

The company said Ooraminna and Waterhouse were prioritised for early attention after independent assessments showed Ooraminna to have recoverable potential of 700,000 billion cubic feet of gas P10 (high) and Waterhouse to have 1.1 trillion cubic feet of gas P10 (high).

The Avalon, Blamore, Johnstone and Mt Kitty prospects are also thought to hold potential at P10 level combined with Ooraminnna and Waterhouse of 3.4Tcf of gas, 300 million barrels and 105Bcf of helium.
