The Texan-focused junior said the decision to complete the well was based on six potential pay zones encountered from 7200-10,900ft.
North American Energy and well operator Endeavor Energy Resources (EER) are now designing and scheduling the completion program that will consist of multiple stage hydraulic fracture treatments, Advance said.
The well is expected to be online and producing at an initial rate of 100 barrels of oil per day and 175 million cubic feet [MMcf] per day of gas by November 1, 2006.
Advance said the Thomas 10-1 is a direct offset from the EER Brown Lease, which has produced more than 68,000bbl of oil and 80MMcf of gas in less than three years of production.
It is a step-out well on the Key East Prospect that was identified and discovered by North American Energy through Motherlode 3-D seismic data.
Advance holds a 12.5% working interest in the Martin County project.
