Drilling to resume at Mosaic’s Waggamba field

MOSAIC Oil says it plans to resume drilling in just over a week on its 100% owned and operated Waggamba gas condensate field in southeast Queensland.

The Ensign Rig 5 is currently being mobilised to the Waggamba-1H well site and is expected to be on location and rigged up by the end of next week. Drilling is expected to start on about July 22 and completed by July 31 on a trouble-free basis, Mosaic said.

The Sydney-based company said the directional drilling tool package was mobilised to Queensland earlier this month and is now ready for transportation to the well site.

Located in PL 202, the Waggamba-1H well will be drilled under-balanced with a polymer mud system laterally for up to 300m.
